Description:
El primer cuento trata de una cazador que tenia la fama de no fallar un tiro. Un día le disparó a dos venados y su esposa, al oír los tiros, luego preparó las ollas para cocer la carne. Pero se enojó mucho porque esa vez su esposo llegó sin carne. El segundo cuento trata de una señor que le disparó a dos venados, pero sólo hirió a uno y cuando iba siguiendo al otro se tropezó con los cuernos del venado herido. Entonces se enojó tanto que acabó matando a golpes al venado. El tercer cuento habla de una pastorcito que se encontró a un venado recién nacido y se lo llevó a su casa para criarlo. Pero cuando el venado creció tubo muchos problemas para mantenerlo. El cuarto cuento es acerca de una señora que cuando venia de regreso de traer leña, vio que la gente perseguía a un venado que venía corriéndose hacía ella. pero ella no tenía nada más que una machete para matarlo. El quito cuento trata de unos hombres que usaron una escopeta vieja para matar un venado. El sexto es de una señor que había ido a traer un buey que se había muerto en el campo. Cuando iba de regreso, decidió ir a cazar un venado pero como no iba preparado para cargarlo tuvo que buscar un modo de llevarlo a casa. El séptimo cuento trata de un señor que quería cazar una venado pero no tenía rifle. Un día puso una trampa y así pudo agarrar un venado, del cual no pudo aprovechar nada. El último cuento trata de una señor que un día vio a dos venados, pero sólo hirió a uno y le amarro las patas con su cinturón. Al final llegó a su casa agarrándose los pantalones con las manos.

Description:
El primero trata de una león viejo que engañaba a los demás animales para que los fueran a visitar, y cuando iban a visitarlo, se los comía. Al final una zorra hace que se avergüence de su flojera y sus engaños. El segundo trata de una lagarto que le pide una favor a un burro, y después de que el burro le hace el favor, el lagarto se lo quiere comer. Luego un conejo resuelve el problema. El tercero trata de una perro que dejaron a cuidar la casa, y habla de por qué el perro es enemigo del gato y el gato es enemigo del ratón. El cuarto es el cuento de un ratón que se cayó dentro de un cántaro de tepache. Al salir, el ratón convence al gato de que lo deje secar antes de comérselo. Después, el ratón se escapa y le dice al gato que no debe confiar en la palabra de una borracho. El último cuento es de una burro que envidiaba la vida tan cómoda que llevaba el marrano. pero cuando el burro ve que matan al marrano para vender la carne, acepta su vida penosa.

El primer cuento trata de cómo los animales se reunieron para elegir su gobierno y proponer al conejo y al león para presidente. Al final el conejo gana la presidencia y el león queda como alcalde. pero el león no quiere dejar que el conejo mande y con engaños trata de agarrar al conejo para matarlo. El segundo trata de una pato que se creía muy superior a los demás animales y de una culebra que le aconseja que no debe ser tan presumido. El tercer cuento trata de una tortuga que estaba buscando adónde poner sus huevos, y de cómo los hombres que la estaba siguiendo empezaron a discutir violentamente acerca de qué era mejor: matar a la tortuga o esperar a que pusiera sus huevos.

Un día que el señor lo llevo a la ciudad le enseño una lección muy importante, la de no siempre hacer caso ni escuchar cualquier consejo u opinión que le dé la gente -- "El segundo cuento trata de una pareja de recién casados que comenzó a pelear por las hortalizas que produciría un terreno que apenas pensaban en comprar" -- "El tercer cuento habla de dos hermanos; uno de ellos era rico y el otro pobre. Un día el hermano pobre recibe un gran tesoro y el hermano rico se pone muy envidioso, pero después recibe un castigo por su envidia" -- "El cuarto cuento es acerca de dos compadres; uno era muy listo y trabajador y el otro muy tonto y flojo. Pero un día, a causa de su envidia, el compadre listo pierde la oportunidad de volverse rico" -- "El quinto cuento trata de dos hermanos y de como los dos mayores trataron de engañar a una bruja, pero fueron castigados y encarcelados, luego el hermano menor es premiado por ser honrado" -- "El ultimo cuento es de un señor que sacrifica muchas cosas para que su hijo vaya a estudiar, pero el hijo no aprovecha la enseñanza y regresa de la ciudad tan necio como cuando se había ido."
