Carta escrita por un grupo de representantes del senado de los Estados Unidos dirigida al Inspector General de Justicia Michael E. Horowitz, en el que exigen la realización de una investigación sobre el papel que la DEA jugó en la violencia criminal desatada entre 2010 y 2011 en el que han muerto entre 60 a 300 personas. De acuerdo al trabajo de investigación de ProPública, Los Zetas atacaron la población de Allende Coahuila en marzo de 2011 luego que la DEA entregara información sensible sobre el grupo criminal a sus contrapartes en la Policía Federal.
